Dog Blog 15.0 – Back to Work

The blog has been on a hiatus for awhile, but for a good reason! Back in September, I gave birth to a sweet baby boy, and I couldn’t be happier about it! But after 12 speedy weeks, it was time for me to head back to YellowDog and get settled into a new routine. (Side note – thanks to my coworkers for the warm welcome back! It is hard leaving babies behind, so the signs, balloon, and donuts certainly helped!)

Now that I’m back to work, I am trying my hardest to avoid any of the illnesses that seem to be floating around everywhere this time of year. I’ve already missed a lot of work this year, and I don’t have any extra days to spare! Plus, I’m trying to prevent germs from reaching either of my kids, especially my newborn!

That’s why I recently decided (recent as in this morning, ha) to make EpiCor part of my daily routine. EpiCor is a proven immune booster, and is actually a product of one of our biggest clients, Diamond V. You can read up on all of EpiCor’s details on their website, but you’re probably wondering exactly what EpiCor is and why I’ve decided to try it out. Here’s a quick list to fill you in: -EpiCor whole food yeast fermentate is a specialty ingredient made using natural brewer’s yeast (“Saccharomyces cerevisiae”) that goes through a closely held trade secret fermentation and drying processes. -EpiCor is considered a whole food because it is minimally processed and refined. It is made using natural ingredients that go through fermentation processes to produce a whole, natural product. -Unlike other vitamin supplements or ingredients that are simple immune system boosters, EpiCor is a whole food supplement ingredient clinically shown to naturally support a strong immune system.

I’m also looking forward to trying EpiCor because I’ve been logging in some pretty slim hours in the sleep department lately, and it’s a fact that your immune system can take a hard hit when you don’t get enough sleep. Combine that with poor nutrition (I can’t stop eating sugar lately) and germs flying everywhere (one of the best holiday season “gifts), and that’s a recipe for disaster.

EpiCor acts as a multivitamin for your immune system, and I’m ready to give it a try! I’m going to commit to (at least) 30 days of EpiCor, and I’ll report back to let everyone know how I’m feeling/if I’ve noticed anything different/my germ status/etc. I know a lot of other factors come into play (i.e. how frequently I wash my hands, diet, exercise, etc.), but I’ve heard about this product for years, and I wanted to see for myself how it works.

I’m looking forward to checking back in at the end of December to give you the full report! nogerm

No germs = more productivity!
